Obituary of Brett Fisher
William Brett Fisher was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 28, 1938. He spent most of his childhood in the Black Diamond, Alberta area. His father worked for Pacific Petroleum and was transferred to Fort St. John in 1953. Brett and the rest of the family moved to Fort St. John in 1954.
As soon as he was old enough, he went to work for Tompkins Contracting on a deck truck as a swamper. He then left there and moved on to Bartell Brothers Construction where he would build homes for a living. After that he started Fisher Construction, where he kept working until failing health and old age made him slow down.
He married Esther Netterfield in 1967 and together they had two sons, John and Tom.
The family moved to Baldonnel where they spent many years. Esther passed away in 2004 and Brett lived on the acreage until his admittance into Peace Villa several years ago.
John and Tom can’t thank the staff of Peace Villa enough for their professionalism and kindness they showed while doing such a wonderful job at taking care of their father.
Brett is survived by his sons John and Tom, his grandchildren Chelsie, Carly, Ben and Sara and three great grandchildren, Phoenix, Jasmin and Reese
There will be a private family service at a later date.
