Obituary of Rebecca Anne Donnell

 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca Anne Donnell, on the 8th of March, 2025 at the age of 42.

 

Rebecca Anne Donnell was born on July 14, 1982, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.  She grew up on a farm in the Buick Creek area, then attended post secondary school at Olds College before returning and settling in the city of Fort St John.  Rebecca had a strong dedication to her work and was held to the highest regard by her peers, colleagues and many others that she had the pleasure of working with.  Her contributions and dedication help to shape the organization into what it is today and will continue to impact their work going forward.  Rebecca had a passion for her home, an eye for detail in decor and a love of creativity in all aspects of culinary creations.  She absolutely loved cooking and creating new and diverse delicacies as well as sharing creations with everyone.  Rebecca had a unique ability to meet total strangers and due to her infectious personality would become lifelong friends, or at a minimum Facebook friends.  She loved all creatures big and small and would take any opportunity to foster or adopt any animal in need. 

 

Rebecca is survived by her spouse, Jeff Kitt, her grand mother Ellen Donnell, her Father William Donnell, stepmother Cora Forestner, mother, Luanne Donnell, and stepfather Terry Nielson.  As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins 

 

Rebecca loved springtime and the promise of a new start, a celebration of life will be held the beginning of June, final date and location will be announced soon.  

 

 Rebecca Anne Donnell will be remembered for warmth and openness, her positive attitude, love of food, wine and music.  Her beautiful smile will be missed by all.
