Obituary of Carter Kosick
Carter Michael Jerry Kosick was taken from us too early on February 17th, 2025, at the age of 18. Carter was born in Fort St. John and raised on a farm where he gained his love for the great outdoors, animals and learning to run all sorts of equipment at a young age. He grew up playing most any sport along with spending many days camping and out on the river boat with his family and friends. Carter moved to Salmon Arm in 2018 where he continued his passion for the great outdoors: camping, quadding, dirt biking and snowmobiling. This is where he developed so many more lifelong friendships and was known as the life of the party. Against the odds, Carter graduated early in January 2024 and immediately entered the workforce starting his Instrumentation apprenticeship working a 2-2 shift in NEBC and was set to complete his first year of trade school this March in Kamloops. For such a young man he had already gained the respect of his fellow workers for his demeaner and work ethic.
Carter loved big and made sure everyone felt it by doing anything he could to make others laugh. It wasn’t just about being funny, it was about making sure everyone around him was happy. He had an energy, so full of life, love and laughter that made being around him effortless like the world wasn’t so serious. The world feels different without you; Quieter, less full of the love & joy you shared. You will always be remembered for exactly who you were, the goofy, loving person that made our lives better by just being in it.
Carter will be remembered & sadly missed by his parents Tyler and Angela Kosick, sister Brook and brother Riley. Grandparents Jerry and Dianne Block & Mike and Cathy Kosick and Great Grandma Pat Albrecht. Auntie Annette Block (Uncle Darrel Wallace) and Cousin Kaitlyn. Auntie Kerri (Uncle Kerry) Mann, Kody (Catherine) Mann, Kirsten (Cole) Briltz & Maggie. Auntie Tina Almond, Tanner and Nathen Badry. Auntie Kelsey Kosick (Uncle Nelson Ladouceur) & Texie. Auntie Jody, Maisie, Makaylee & Jorja. As well as so many friends and extended family.
Until we meet again, keep that turbo pinned… Brraaapp……..
