Gloria was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on August 30th, 1948 to Stan and Myrtle Palmer. Her family then moved to Fort St John in 1955, when Gloria was seven years old.
Leeroy Mellott was the love of her life. They met in Fort St. John, BC in 1983 and then resided in 100 Mile House for a few years as a combined family. They got married on August. 4th, 1989 before moving to Prince Geroge, BC where they spent the rest of their days together.
Gloria worked at restaurants, as a chambermaid, florist, and her first career choice as a hairdresser. She won 1st place in Fort St John’s first hairdressing contest, but her favorite job of all was being a homemaker for Leeroy.
In Gloria’s prime she made the Fort St. John bowling team which took her to nationals in Edmonton, Alberta. On her downtime you could find Gloria out on Charlie Lake fishing with her hubby, Leeroy or deep into her Danielle Steele books.
Gloria would love to leave you with one message: “always look out for one another”.
Celebration of life to be held in Charlie Lake, BC, at the Rotary RV Park Hall, on June. 14th at 11:00am.
