Obituary of Murray Joseph Garrison
Murray Joseph Garrison
June 20, 1952 ~ January 31, 2025
Halifax, NS ~ Fort St. John, BC
Murray went to be with his Lord and Savior quietly at home with the love of his life by his side.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Murray Rexford Garrison, Doris Alita Garrison and by his brother Roblin.
He is survived by his adoring wife Linda and their little dog Buffy, their sons Jeffery (Leah) and Murray (Theresa). He is also survived by his brothers Chris, Harry (Patty) and Webster, and there was a very special place in his heart for his sisters-in-law Patty, Hope (Gord) and Debbie (Ken). He treasured any time with his granddaughter Kat (Dan) and his many nieces and nephews.
Murray was born in Halifax, NS and moved to Crystal Beach ON in 1963, where he met and married his soulmate Linda, and they raised their family there. In 2017 they relocated to Fort St John, BC where Jeff and Leah reside.
The last year of Murrays life was one of the best, it was one of the most social, active and healthiest in a long while. He valued the friendships that weathered the years, he cherished the new friends he made, loved having Linda by his side and he had his precious little dog to bring him joy and laughter. He had his fancy new Spyder and good friends to ride with, looking forward to the annual bike trips with Linda and Jeff. He was led to the Journey Church, and he found a home in the fellowship and community there. He truly went out on top, and his heart was full.
A service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Journey Church, 10003 – 95th Ave, Fort St. John, with a celebration of life to follow.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Pastor Larry Lorentz and the Journey for all they have done for us in this difficult time. We would like to thank the Bikers for Christ for their support, friendship and assistance whenever its needed, and to our friends who are always there when we call.
