Gale would light up when she saw visitors enter the room. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Gale will be remembered for her insight, tenacity, and optimism. Everyone had a different adjective for her: fun, sweet, energetic, caring, open-minded, tenacious, and fashionable.
Born on September 13, 1937, to Beth and Henry Lysne, in Fairview, Alberta. She grew up in Kinuso, situated on Lesser Slave Lake in Northern Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. During that time, she also completed one semester at the University of British Columbia and in the summers attended Banff School of Fine Arts with her sister Nan. After university, she travelled across Europe with a friend.
Gale was a teacher, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Both Gale and John were very involved in the communities that they lived in and supporters of their local church.
John and Gale loved to dance, travel and most importantly visit with family and friends.
One memory was that she always planted red and white flowers.
