Dearest Rose and family, I am so sorry to recently hear of Walter's passing. My condolences to all of you. Walter was a lovely, kind man with a good sense of humour. Thank you to those who Planted a Tree to honor Walter. It’s a beautiful tribute to a man who loved the land and found peace among the trees and vines. Your gesture means so much and will continue to grow in his memory—just as his legacy lives on in all of us.

My deepest condolences I remember Walter from my childhood. My Parents Wilfred and Ellenore were close friends with Rose and Walter we would go out to Grandhaven to visit them and later to Fish creek. Always friendly and inviting to their home. I think they all belonged to the Elks and Royal purple and enjoyed the Dances and Functions that were a regular occurrence. I remember Walter always having an impeccable neat and organized home and shop. A true pioneer of the North Peace that definitely made a huge contribution to the community. Rest in Peace Walter.

Well wishes to all of Walter's family. Rose and Walter and the kids were our neighbors for many years in Grand Haven. Lots of stories were told over coffee breaks throughout the years. POur thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Condolences to the Hetman family. Walter and Ken worked together and were good friends. After Walter and Rose moved to the island they stayed in touch by phone until Ken passed away. Walter was a kind soul who loved a good visit. Cherish your memories.
